Residual current circuit breaker P312 2P B 40A 30mA TYPE AC DX3 410925
Protection and safety in your electrical installation
This two-pole residual current circuit breaker (RCCB) from Legrand's DX³ series is a key element ensuring comprehensive protection of electrical circuits. It combines the functions of an overcurrent circuit breaker and a residual current device, protecting against the effects of overloads, short circuits and electric shock. This is an ideal solution for both professional installers and end-users who value safety and reliability.
Functionality and application
The P312 circuit breaker with a rated current of 40A and a residual current of 30mA, characterized by a B characteristic and AC type, is perfect for protecting lighting circuits, socket circuits and other electrical devices in residential and commercial buildings. The B characteristic provides a quick response to short-circuit currents, while allowing for trouble-free starting of devices with motors - which generate momentary current surges. The AC type effectively detects sinusoidal leakage currents, providing protection against electric shock.
Design and installation
The circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail, which facilitates its installation and replacement. Compact dimensions - a width of 2 modules - allow for optimal use of space in the distribution board. Additionally, the ability to equip it with auxiliary contacts and trip units from the DX³ series expands the functionality of the device. The integrated lock prevents accidental switching on of the circuit breaker after it has been switched off due to a fault. At the same time, the disconnectable N pole increases safety during maintenance work. Made of high-quality materials, it guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation. The cross-section of the connected multi-wire cable is 0.75…10 mm², and the single-wire cable is 0.75…16 mm². The rated short-circuit breaking capacity Icn is 6 kA according to EN 61009-1, which ensures effective protection against the effects of short circuits. The IP20 degree of protection protects against finger contact and the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
