Application and welding method
Designed for welding low-carbon and low-alloy steels using the TIG (GTAW) method with argon (Ar) shielding gas. Constant polarity is key – negative connected to the electrode. This allows for precise and controlled weld formation. It can be used in almost any position, except for vertical down, where control over the weld pool is difficult.
Mechanical properties and chemical composition
This wire provides welds with high strength parameters: yield strength (Re) is 530 N/mm², and tensile strength (Rm) reaches 595 N/mm². Elongation at break (A5) is 26%, and impact energy (KV) at -30°C is 70 J – which guarantees resistance to cracking at low temperatures. The chemical composition of the wire is: 0.1% carbon (C), 1.0% silicon (Si) and 1.7% manganese (Mn). Such proportions of components ensure optimal welding and mechanical properties of the connection.
