This black, shielded flexible cable OZ-500-C with a cross-section of 4x1.5 mm² is a reliable solution for power supply and control in various applications. Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction: stranded copper conductors (class 5), PVC Z 7225 insulation, black conductors with white numbers for easy identification, and a copper braid screen to reduce electromagnetic interference. This braid, in combination with appropriate cable glands, allows for optimal electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Additionally, the outer sheath made of PVC TM2 (black RAL 9005 color) provides resistance to mechanical damage, oils, and chemicals. The cable is also UV resistant and does not contain silicone, cadmium, or substances that interfere with painting.
The cable has been tested for self-extinguishing flame-retardant properties in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 and DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1 standards. This ensures it meets high safety standards.
Application and operating parameters
The OZ-500-C cable is designed for medium mechanical stress in flexible connections without tensile stress. It can be used in dry, damp, and wet rooms, as well as outdoors – but not directly in the ground or water. It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering – control, signaling, and measurement in production lines and conveyor belts.
The operating parameters of this cable include a rated voltage of 500 V, an operating temperature range of -10°C to +80°C (flexible) and -40°C to +80°C (stationary). Its approximate outer diameter is 8.9 mm, and the insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, with a maximum coupling resistance of 250 Ohm/km. The minimum bending radius is 10 x cable diameter for flexible applications and 5 x cable diameter for fixed installation.
