Construction and Properties

The cable features a robust construction, ensuring long-lasting and trouble-free operation. Copper strands, twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 class 5, BS 6360 class 5, and IEC 60228 class 5 standards, guarantee good conductivity and flexibility. PVC Z 7225 insulation provides protection against mechanical and chemical damage. The strands are numbered for easy identification during installation and maintenance. Additionally, the cable has a copper braided screen (approx. 85% coverage) that minimizes electromagnetic interference (EMC). This screen should be well connected to the terminals (e.g., cable glands) for optimal interference protection. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer sheath made of PVC TM2, resistant to abrasion and weathering – black color (RAL 9005).

Application and Parameters

The OZ-500-C cable is designed for use in dry, damp, and wet rooms, as well as outdoors – but it cannot be laid directly in the ground or water. It will work well in applications requiring medium mechanical stress, where flexibility of connections without tensile stress is important. The rated voltage of 500V and the strand cross-section of 0.75 mm² make it a universal solution for many applications. The cable complies with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has certificates confirming its safety and quality – self-extinguishing and flame-retardant PVC (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2 / DIN EN 60332-1-2 / IEC 60332-1).

The minimum bending radius is 10x the outer diameter of the cable during flexible operation and 5x the outer diameter when laid permanently. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.7 mm.
