Rubber cable NSSHÖU 5G16 mm² yellow, core identification according to DIN VDE 0293-308 38036
Product features
- Highly durable rubber cable for demanding applications
This yellow NSSHÖU 5G16 mm² rubber cable is a robust solution for powering high-power devices in harsh conditions. The cable is designed for both fixed and mobile installations where high mechanical and chemical resistance is required. It is suitable for construction, mechanical engineering, and outdoor applications.
Construction and properties
The NSSHÖU cable features an advanced construction ensuring reliability and long-term operation. Made of stranded copper conductors insulated with EPR rubber (3GI3), it offers flexibility and ozone resistance, preventing insulation cracking. Parallel twisted cores provide optimal electrical properties. Additionally, the cable has a yellow-green protective conductor for increased safety. The outer jacket made of 5GM5 rubber provides excellent protection against external factors.
- Durability: Designed for heavy loads, compliant with DIN VDE 0250 part 812.
- Flexibility: Operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -25°C to +80°C (flexible). Permissible conductor temperature is +90°C.
- Resistance: To ozone, oils, greases and chemicals – ideal for operation in harsh industrial and outdoor conditions.
- Safety: Has a yellow-green protective conductor (above 3 cores) and meets the requirements of fire safety tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60332-1).
- Identification: Cores marked with colors (up to 5 cores) or black with white numbering (from 6 cores), according to DIN VDE 0294-308.
Applications and user parameters
The NSSHÖU cable is perfect for applications requiring high flexibility and resistance to external factors. Minimum bending radius is 4x cable diameter for fixed installations, 10x for flexible installations and 15x for freely moving installations. Insulation resistance is minimum 20 MOhm x km at a test voltage of 3000V. Long-term load is 15 N/mm² of total cross-section. The cable is not recommended for use as a drum cable or in robotics or hand-held devices.
