This red, single-core SiD silicone cable with a cross-section of 0.5 mm² is the ideal solution for applications requiring resistance to extreme temperatures and aggressive environments. The cable is characterized by its flexibility and reliability, making it suitable for both professional installers and end-users.
The cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range, from -60°C to +180°C (short-term up to +220°C), making it indispensable in industries such as metallurgy, aviation, cement plants, as well as in the glass and ceramic industries. Additionally, the halogen-free construction of the cable allows for its safe use in power plants.
Construction and properties
The SiD cable is distinguished by its careful construction. It has a Class 1 (solid) copper core insulated with silicone. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 2.2 mm. The rated voltage U0/U is 300/500 V. The use of silicone as an insulating material provides not only thermal resistance but also high flexibility and chemical resistance. The cable is resistant to the action of most chemical compounds, oils, ozone, water and atmospheric conditions.
Additionally, the cable is tested for corrosion resistance to fire gases in accordance with DIN VDE 0482 part 267 / DIN EN 50267-2-2 and IEC 60754-2 (equivalent to DIN VDE 0472 part 813). It also has a certificate of self-extinguishing and flame-retardant PVC compliant with DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2 and IEC 60332-1.
