Halogen-free shielded control cable – safety and reliability

This flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H is a solution designed for demanding applications where fire safety and protection against electromagnetic interference are crucial. This cable, characterized by class B2ca, is ideal for public buildings, industrial facilities and anywhere where high fire resistance and minimal emission of toxic gases during a fire are required.

Construction and properties

The cable is constructed of multi-wire copper conductors, insulated with a halogen-free polymer mixture. The conductors are twisted in layers with an optimal pitch, and the whole is protected with a polyester foil and an effective braid of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%). The outer jacket is made of a halogen-free type M1 material, which further increases safety. The cable is metered for easy installation and adaptation to installation needs.

• Halogen-free: Materials used in production do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances hindering painting – this is important for both safety and the environment.
• Shielding: Copper braid provides effective protection against electromagnetic interference (EMC), guaranteeing stable signal transmission. For optimal EMC, it is recommended to have two-sided contact of the braid with the terminals (e.g. EMC cable glands).
• Flexibility: The cable construction provides high flexibility, allowing easy installation even in tight spaces.
• Resistance to weather conditions: The cable is suitable for use in dry, damp and wet locations and surface mounting.
• Wide operating temperature range: Flexible from -15°C to +70°C and stationary from -40°C to +70°C – ensures reliable operation in various conditions.
• CPR class: B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 – meets high fire safety standards according to EN 50575.

Applications

JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 3G1 shielded cable is used as a control cable in buildings of the People Hazard (ZL) character, such as office buildings, hospitals, schools or airports. It will also work as a measuring and control cable in machines, production lines and air conditioning installations. Thanks to its high resistance to external factors, it can also be used in steel mills and other demanding industrial environments. The cable is perfect for applications where high signal transmission reliability and minimal risk of fire and toxic gas spreading in the event of a fire are required.
