Safe control cable for buildings with high fire safety requirements

The HELUCONTROL® JZ-520-HMH-C LS0H GREY cable is an advanced solution for control installations in locations with increased fire safety requirements. The product complies with DIN VDE 0285-525-3-11 / DIN EN 50525-3-11 standards and is designed for use as a control cable.

Construction and materials ensuring reliability

The cable utilizes halogen-free core insulation made of TI7 type polymer and a halogen-free outer sheath of M1 type in RAL 7001 grey. The cable core consists of 4 cores with a cross-section of 0,75 mm² made of bare copper class 5 (fine wire) according to DIN VDE 0295/IEC 60228.

EMC shielding is implemented via a tinned copper braid with ~85% coverage density, which ensures effective signal transmission without electromagnetic interference. The cores are identified by black markings with sequential white numbering, and the layered construction optimizes electrical parameters.

The outer diameter is 6,8 mm, and the copper content is 60 kg/km.

Fire safety and certification

The product possesses CPR class B2ca s1a d0 a1, confirming its high fire safety parameters. During combustion, it does not emit toxic or corrosive gases - the materials are halogen-free in accordance with DIN VDE 0482-754-1/EN 60754-1/IEC 60754-1.

The cable demonstrates flame retardancy according to DIN EN 60332-1-2 and meets the requirements of the bunched cable flame test according to DIN EN 60332-3-22. Low smoke emission confirmed by the EN 61034-2 standard makes it safe for humans and sensitive electronic devices.

Additionally, the product is oil-resistant according to EN 60811-404, which expands its range of industrial applications.

Industrial applications and operating conditions

The cable finds wide application as a measuring and control cable in all kinds of machinery, belt conveyors, production lines, and air conditioning systems.

Operating temperature range: moving installation from -15°C to +70°C, fixed installation from -40°C to +70°C. The minimum bending radius is 12,5x the outer diameter for mobile use and 4x the diameter for fixed installation.

Rated voltage U₀/U = 300/500 V, test voltage 2000 V. The cable is suitable for fixed or flexible installation under medium mechanical load.

To optimize EMC parameters, it is recommended to ensure bilateral contact of the copper braid with installation elements (e.g., EMC cable glands).
