Flexible control cable with screen – safety and reliability
This high-quality flexible cable JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 5G1, screened, is designed for use in buildings with increased fire safety requirements, such as office buildings, hospitals or educational institutions. The cable construction ensures reliable signal transmission in places exposed to electromagnetic interference. Made of halogen-free materials, it minimizes the emission of toxic gases in the event of a fire, protecting health and life.
Construction and properties
The cable is characterized by a solid construction, ensuring long-lasting and safe operation. Highly flexible copper conductors (class 5 according to DIN VDE 0295) guarantee easy installation and resistance to repeated bending. Insulation made of halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture ensures safety in case of fire. A braid of copper wires with a coverage density of approximately 85% effectively shields against electromagnetic interference (EMC), which is crucial in modern electrical installations. The outer sheath made of halogen-free type M1 plastic further increases the level of safety. The cable is metered, which makes it easier to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.
Application and compliance with standards
The JZ-520 HMH-C LS0H 5G1 cable is ideal as a control cable in buildings of the People Hazard (ZL) character, where the priority is protection against the effects of fire. It can also be used in machines, conveyor belts, production lines and air conditioning systems. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE and EN standards, including CPR class B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 – which guarantees its high quality and safety of use. The cable is suitable for permanent or flexible laying in dry, humid and wet places and surface mounting. To optimize electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), it is recommended to have two-sided contact of the copper braid with the clamps (e.g. EMC cable glands).
