Flexible halogen-free control cable – safety and reliability

This flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH LS0H is designed for demanding applications where fire safety and personal protection are crucial. With its B2ca class, this cable is perfect for use in buildings with high occupancy – office buildings, hospitals, schools, airports, and subways. Its construction minimizes the emission of toxic gases and smoke in the event of a fire, protecting both users and sensitive electronics.

Construction and properties

The JZ-520 HMH LS0H cable stands out due to its careful workmanship and the use of high-quality materials. Flexible, un-tinned copper conductors ensure good conductivity and easy installation. Insulation made of halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture guarantees safety in case of fire. Additionally, the cable has a green-yellow protective conductor (from 3 conductors inclusive), which increases the safety level of the installation. Conductors twisted in layers with an optimal lay length minimize interference. The outer sheath made of halogen-free M1 plastic is resistant to mechanical damage and ensures the durability of the cable.

This cable has been tested for flame resistance, corrosiveness of gases produced during combustion, and smoke emission – the results of these tests confirm its high level of safety (compliance with DIN VDE and EN standards). It is also resistant to oils (DIN VDE 0473-811-404/DIN EN 60811-404/IEC 60811-404).

Applications and operating parameters

Designed for use as a control, measuring cable, and in machines and production lines. Ideal for installation in dry, damp, and wet rooms, as well as for surface mounting. This cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -15°C to +70°C (flexible) and from -40°C to +70°C (stationary). The operating voltage is 300/500V and the test voltage is 2000V. The minimum bending radius is 12.5x cable diameter for flexible laying and 4x diameter for fixed laying. The CPR class is B2ca-s1a, d0, a1, which ensures a high level of fire protection.
