Flexible control cable halogen-free – safety and reliability

This flexible control cable JZ-520 HMH LS0H is a solution designed for demanding applications where fire safety and personal protection are key. The cable is characterized by a halogen-free construction, which means that it releases a minimal amount of toxic gases and smoke during combustion. This is particularly important in public buildings such as office buildings, hospitals, schools or airports – i.e. everywhere where the protection of life is a priority.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of high-quality materials. The copper strands are flexible and multi-stranded, ensuring easy installation and resistance to material fatigue. The core insulation is made of halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture, guaranteeing safety in the event of a fire. The green-yellow protective conductor (from 3 cores inclusive) is placed in the outer layer of the core for increased safety. The outer jacket made of halogen-free M1 plastic provides additional protection against external factors. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the needs of the installation.

In addition, the cable has undergone a series of tests confirming its properties:

• Flame retardancy: meets DIN VDE and EN standards for fire resistance of both single cables and cable bundles.
• Gas corrosivity: gases released during combustion are characterized by low acidity and conductivity.
• Smoke emission: emits minimal smoke during combustion (s1a).
• Halogen-free: confirmed compliance with DIN VDE and EN standards.
• Oil resistance: resistant to oils in accordance with DIN VDE and EN standards.

Application and technical parameters

The JZ-520 HMH LS0H 7G1 B2ca cable is ideal as a control cable in installations in buildings of Hazard to People (ZL) character. It can also be used as a measuring and control cable in machines, production lines, air conditioning systems and steel mills. Designed for permanent or flexible laying with medium mechanical load. Thanks to the wide range of operating temperatures (-40°C to +70°C), it can be used both indoors and outdoors (in dry, damp and wet locations). CPR class B2ca ensures a high level of fire safety. The operating voltage is 300/500V and the test voltage is 2000V. The minimum bending radius is 12.5x cable diameter for flexible laying and 4x diameter for permanent laying.
