Welding electrode 6013 MOST (pink) dia. 4.0 /1kg/ 0630601343

Universal electrode for structural steels

The MOST 6013 welding electrode, popularly known as "pink", is a versatile choice for welding steel structures, both those exposed to static and dynamic loads. It will be useful in construction, assembly work, and in the railway industry. Its versatility will be appreciated by both professional welders and those performing occasional welding work.

The electrode is characterized by very good welding properties, which translates into easy arc control and obtaining solid, durable connections. The rutile coating ensures a stable arc and minimizes the formation of weld defects. The ability to weld with all methods – in any position – makes it indispensable on the construction site or in the workshop.

Characteristics and application

The 6013 electrode is classified as E 38 0 RC 11 (PN-EN 2560-A-E) and E 6013 (AWS A5.1). This means that it provides a tensile strength of over 360 N/mm² and an impact strength of at least 47 J at 0°C. The chemical composition of the electrode (C=0.08%, Si=0.20%, Mn=0.50%) affects its mechanical and welding properties.

Thanks to the possibility of welding with direct or alternating current, the electrode is compatible with most available power sources. Welding with this electrode is possible in all positions – flat, horizontal, vertical (both top-down and bottom-up) and ceiling. This is particularly important during assembly and repair work, where access to the welding surface may be limited.

Advantages and benefits

  • Versatility: Suitable for welding carbon and low-alloy steels of various thicknesses.
  • Ease of use: A stable electric arc makes it easy to control the electrode even for less experienced welders.
  • High weld quality: Provides strong and damage-resistant welded joints.
  • Approvals: Has ABS, BV and DNV-GL approvals – confirmation of high quality and safety of use in demanding industrial applications.
  • Resistance to contamination: Works well with welding slightly rusty or painted surfaces – saves time needed to prepare the material.
  • Universal current: The possibility of powering with direct or alternating current increases the range of applications of the electrode.
  • High impact strength: Welds maintain their integrity even at low temperatures (KV > 47 J at 0°C).
