Halogen-free control cable – safety and flexibility
This grey, flexible JZ-520 HMH LS0H cable is a solution designed for control installations where fire safety and reliability are key. The cable is designed for buildings with high occupancy (ZL) – office buildings, hospitals, schools, airports – where minimizing risk in the event of a fire is a priority. The cable is characterized by high fire resistance and limited emission of smoke and toxic gases, protecting both people and sensitive electronics.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors, providing flexibility and ease of installation. The conductors are insulated with a halogen-free TI7 polymer mixture, which further increases safety in the event of a fire. Conductor identification is carried out in accordance with DIN VDE 0293-308 – black conductors with white numbers facilitate identification during installation. In 3-core and higher cables, there is a green-yellow protective conductor located on the outside of the structure. The outer sheath is made of halogen-free M1 plastic in grey (RAL 7001).
This cable meets stringent European standards, including CPR class B2ca-s1a, d0, a1, which guarantees its high quality and safety. It also has a CE certificate confirming compliance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU.
Applications and operating parameters
The JZ-520 HMH LS0H cable is perfect not only in public buildings, but also in machines, conveyor belts, production lines and air conditioning installations. It can be used for both fixed and flexible installations with medium mechanical load. The cable is designed for use in dry, damp and wet rooms and for surface mounting.
The operating voltage of the cable is 300/500 V. The operating temperature range is from -15°C to +70°C for flexible operation and from -40°C to +70°C for stationary operation. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 12.5 x cable diameter, and for fixed laying – 4 x cable diameter. The cable has 5 conductors with a cross-section of 0.5 mm². It meets CPR class B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 and standards regarding flame resistance DIN VDE 0482-399/DIN EN 50399 and DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2/DIN EN 60332-1-2/IEC 60332-1-2.
