Halogen-free control cable – safety and flexibility in one
This gray, flexible JZ-520 HMH LS0H cable is a solution for installations requiring a high level of fire safety and reliability. The cable is designed for buildings with high occupancy (ZL) – office buildings, hospitals, schools, airports – where minimizing the risk of fire is a priority. The cable is characterized by low flammability, limited smoke emission, and no emission of toxic gases during combustion.
Construction and properties
The cable is made of multi-strand copper conductors, which provides high flexibility and resistance to bending. The core insulation is made of a halogen-free polymer mixture, and the outer sheath is also halogen-free, further increasing safety in the event of a fire. The cores are twisted in layers for optimal pitch, and the green-yellow protective core (from 3 cores upwards) is placed on the outside for easy identification. The cable is metered and available in gray (RAL 7001).
Worth knowing: A halogen-free construction means no chlorine or bromine in the composition of the materials, which translates to less toxic gases released during combustion – this is crucial for protecting health and life.
Application and operating parameters
The JZ-520 HMH LS0H cable is intended for use as a control cable in fixed and flexible installations with medium mechanical load. It will work well both in dry, damp and wet rooms, as well as during surface mounting. The cable is ideal for machines, conveyor belts, production lines and air conditioning systems.
The operating voltage is 300/500 V, and the operating temperature range fluctuates between -15°C and +70°C for flexible operation and -40°C to +70°C for stationary operation. The minimum bending radius is 12.5 x cable diameter for flexible routing and 4 x cable diameter for fixed routing. The cable has a CPR class of B2ca-s1a, d0, a1 ensuring a high level of reaction to fire. It meets DIN VDE and EN standards regarding the fire resistance of a single cable and cable harness, and also has appropriate certificates regarding smoke emission (s1a - transmittance ≥ 80%) and corrosiveness of gases produced during combustion in accordance with DIN VDE and EN standards.
Thanks to the CE certification, the product meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, which guarantees its safety and compliance with European standards.
