Welding wire G3SI1 GOLD dia. 0.8 /5kg/ 1150170072
Universal welding wire for structural steels
This welding wire, with a diameter of 0.8 mm, is a reliable choice for professional and amateur welders. Designed for MAG welding of low-carbon, structural, boiler and shipbuilding steels, as well as fine-grained carbon-manganese steels. Its copper-coated surface ensures a stable arc and high weld quality. The versatility of this wire allows for use with both high and low current intensities, adapting to different working conditions and project requirements.
Application and properties
G3SI1 GOLD wire is ideal for a wide range of applications – from construction and renovation work to metal production. It allows for efficient welding in almost all positions (except vertical down), which increases comfort and reduces project completion time. Thanks to its precise chemical composition (C=0.1; S=0.9; Mn=1.5; Cu coating) and approvals from TÜV, DB, LR, ABS, NAKS and CE – you can be sure of its reliability and safety.
- Versatility: Welding of low-carbon, structural, boiler, shipbuilding and fine-grained carbon-manganese steels.
- Flexibility: Possibility of working at high and low current intensities (spray arc or short-circuit arc).
- Welding positions: All positions except vertical down – provides comfortable work in various conditions.
- High quality: Classifications PN-EN ISO 14341-A: G422MIC 3Si1; AWS A5.18: ER70S-6; DIN 8559: SG2 guarantee compliance with industry standards.
- Strength: Mechanical properties Ar+20%CO2: Re[N/mm²]=490, Rm[N/mm²]=590 ensure durable and solid connections.
- Reliability: Approvals from reputable institutions (TÜV, DB, LR, ABS, NAKS, CE) confirm the high quality of the product.
Operating parameters and shielding gas
Direct current with positive electrode polarity is recommended for welding with this wire. It can be used with CO2 shielding gas or a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide (Ar+CO2). The choice of gas affects the properties of the weld – an argon mixture provides better protection against oxidation and a cleaner weld. Remember to select appropriate welding parameters depending on the material thickness and required connection strength.
